About MesoBlack Media

Two Eras. One Debt. 437 Years Apart.

MesoBlack Media is an independent hard sci-fi studio building a five-book time-travel universe from the ground up. We don't wait for permission. We build in public, release in public, and let the work speak.

Hard Sci-Fi. Adult Animation. Built in Public.

The Universe

Our flagship series — The Stolen Stream — is a five-book hard science fiction time-travel saga built on real physics. Not hand-waving. Real frame-dragging mechanics, biological cost systems, and a family debt that compounds across four centuries.

The story begins in 1588 Venice. Two brothers. One genius. One murder. One erased equation that broke time itself.

It ends in a Swiss Alps laboratory in 2026 — when Kai Eschendorf, 28 years old and carrying a 115-year-old body, jams a brass compass into a machine that has been stealing time from the living for 400 years.

The universe keeps a ledger. Every debt gets collected.

The Four Worlds

The Golden Cage — Vienna 2025/2026
High-society brutalist architecture. Temporal cathedrals. The Eschendorf family's iron grip on the timeline from a sterile estate where nothing ages and nobody asks why.

1588 Venice — The Origin Point
Dark canals. Clockwork brass instruments. Carnivale masks. The night Matteo Eschendorf murdered his brother and erased a variable that would cost the world four centuries of stolen time.

The Scar Zone — Dystopian Vienna
What happens when 400 years of temporal debt comes due all at once. Non-Newtonian floors. Z-fighting geometry. Two eras of architecture occupying the same space. Violet static sky. This is the debt made visible.

The Aetheric Forge — Swiss Alps
A brutalist laboratory buried in ice and steel. The machine that made temporal capitalism possible. The place where it all ends.

The Physics Is Real

The Stolen Stream is grounded in the Lense-Thirring Effect — frame-dragging. Earth rotates at 1,600 km/h, dragging spacetime the way an oar drags water. The Eschendorf family's stolen time-travel equations ignore this completely. Every jump compounds the error. The universe charges interest.

That interest is called the 1:10 Toll: one year of biological aging for every ten years traveled.

Kai jumped 437 years. His body aged 87. He was 28.

His eyes never changed.

The Build

MesoBlack Media is built in public. Every issue of The Ledger — our newsletter — documents what's being built, what it costs, what's working, and what isn't. The universe, the animation pipeline, the soundtrack, the revenue. All of it, open.

We believe the most interesting story isn't just inside the books. It's the story of building them.

The Soundtrack

The Stolen Stream has an original score. Dark synthwave. Each of the four worlds has its own sonic palette — from the brine-and-brass amber of 1588 Venice to the violet static pulse of the Scar Zone. The soundtrack is a standalone listening experience and a map of the universe.

Paid subscribers of The Ledger get every track first.
